Dr. Porter grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University graduating with a bachelor in science in 2003 and her DVM from Iowa State University in 2008. Following Veterinary School she completed a small animal internship at VCA Newark in Delaware.
From 2009 to 2016, Dr. Porter worked in emergency and critical care in both Chicago and Omaha. Since 2016 she has been practicing small animal general medicine and has truly enjoyed the special bonds she has created with her clients and patients.
Dr. Porter loves all aspects of medicine and surgery and will always have a passion for emergency and critical care.
Dr. Porter and her husband Phil Bruce have two beautiful daughters named Rayan and Isla, Clark the Corgi, Hattie the Rat Terrier, and Carson the Kitty. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family.
